Claude and ChatGPT have their own step-by-step guides. For any other client that supports remote MCP servers and OAuth sign-in, use the instructions below. The labels differ from app to app but the steps are the same.
Connect GoodMetrics
Section titled “Connect GoodMetrics”-
Open your client’s settings for apps, connectors, integrations, or MCP servers.
-
Add a new remote MCP server named GoodMetrics.
-
Enter this URL in the field labeled Server URL, MCP server URL, or URL:
https://data.goodmetrics.io/mcp -
If the client asks for a transport, choose HTTP or Streamable HTTP.
-
If it asks for an authentication method, choose OAuth. Leave API key and OAuth client fields empty.
-
Choose Connect or Authorize.
-
Sign in to GoodMetrics, review the read-only access request, and choose Allow Access.
-
Back in your client, enable GoodMetrics for the conversation.
Your client handles sign-in and access automatically — there’s nothing else to set up.
