Connect ChatGPT to GoodMetrics

Add GoodMetrics as an app in ChatGPT and ask questions about your analytics.

Connect ChatGPT to GoodMetrics so you can ask questions about your analytics in plain language. This guide is for the browser version of ChatGPT — there’s nothing to install.

  1. In ChatGPT, open Settings → Apps → Advanced settings.

  2. Turn on Developer mode.

  3. Return to Settings → Apps and choose Create app beside Advanced settings.

  4. Enter GoodMetrics as the app name.

  5. Enter this remote MCP server URL:

    https://data.goodmetrics.io/mcp
  6. If ChatGPT asks for an authentication method, choose OAuth. Don’t add an API key, authorization URL, OAuth client ID, or client secret.

  7. Create the app, then choose Connect or Authorize when prompted.

  8. Sign in to GoodMetrics, review the read-only access request, and choose Allow Access.

  1. Start a new conversation.
  2. Open the + menu and choose Developer mode.
  3. Select the GoodMetrics app for the conversation.

With GoodMetrics connected, ask ChatGPT a real question — replace example.com with one of your domains:

Break down example.com signups by UTM campaign and country.
Which traffic sources for example.com are trending up month over month?
